A piece I wrote at a Influential Womens Forum last year . . .
Today I am going to share with you a little of my story. I am going to leave you in no doubt that rural women are amazing . . . resilient . . . innovative and influential.
You are each and every one of you beautiful . . . and powerful.
We need to wear many hats, become many roles. I struggle with most of them. Most of the time I feel I am failing miserably at parenting, being a wife, a leader for our employees, and teaching my children.
Being a mum has brought out the best and worst in me.
I know I am not alone in having these feelings, whether you have some or all.
It is ok to not be ok.
We need to know and believe that what we do is important. You may be disillusioned with life after the 100th load of washing, life is really not what you expected.

I have these feelings.
But . . . every little thing you do is a stepping stone. It is a journey you are on. And it’s ok to be really pissed off about it sometimes!
But its not ok to be consumed by these negative emotions.
By connecting with each other, sharing our stories, and war wounds . . . we share the burden and by doing so . . . we make it lighter!
I strongly believe in and every day am inspired by the amazing women in my life.
Amazing bush women.
No matter how big or small the challenges we face . . .
We are incredible
We are beautiful and
We are powerful.
